LearnTao and Natural Healing
A main conference lecture on Friday, the 5th, Room 1, 4:30-6:00pm
Perfect health is our legacy and is unfortunately not always present in our modern, fast paced and sometimes stressful lives.
This may be the most important class you'll ever take. Grounded in the same Taoist (daoist) principles that are the basis for Traditional Chinese Medicine, Accupuncture, Asian Martial Arts and Feng Shui, this course addresses both the energetic and physical components of food and is bound to transform the way that you see your health.
Food energetics recognizes that much of the nourishment we ingest comes from the energy component of Food. This leads us to make more informed choices. When we select food which is filled with Chi, fresh, brightly colored, organically grown and appropriate for the timing and the needs of our physiology we achieve real nourishment and open our awareness to the gifts of the unified consciousness. This form the basis of many traditional healing techniques.
When properly applied Taoist philosophy is a powerful agent for self transformation, showing you the practical tools to develop the physical vitality and mental clarity necessary to accept our modern day challenges.
We will also discuss how to create a healthy balanced lifestyle, how to use foods for healing, combinations, menu planning and seasonal influences. The goal is to create an optimum level of health and mental clarity so that we can direct our energy efficiently towards the realization of our dreams.
Aims and objectives:
o Secure health and vitality for yourself and family
o Establish practical approaches to the maintenance of health in daily life
o Learn about medicinal dishes and their healing effects
o Combine herbal Chinese medicine with food energetics to create strong revitalizing medicine that restores the body's energy
o Be part of the growing trend towards Traditional Chinese Medicine and nutrition, which is supported by numerous scientific reports and case studies, including reports issued by global and local governmental agencies
