Silk Reeling and the Six Stars with Robert Nations
every morning of the main confernence event, August 5-7
Silk reeling comes from the Chen style of Tai Ji Quan. It embodies the idea of pulling silk from a cocoon. You will learn several of these exercises that focus on the principles of emptying and filling, opening and closing, ascending and descending, and circling and spiraling. The movements are performed in a relaxed manor and coordinated with deep breathing. They help loosen the joints, gather the vital energy (qi) and focus the mind (yi).
The Six Stars come from the Taoist Elixir system, which were originally taught by Sifu Share K. Lew of the Yellow Dragon Monastery in Canton, China. These are standing nei gong methods to work the internal energy changes within the three main energy centers (dan tian).
