Riki Newell--Conference Musician-- will offer a class, "Sacred Sound for Feng Shui" that will include sound healing with Tibetan bowls, crystal bowls, tinshaws, toning and more. He will also lead a Drum Circle, and set musical tones with his Sound Paintings at various times during our Ceremonies. About Riki Newell Riki Newell is a multi-talented musician and artist. He utilizes a full spectrum of musical acumen as a composer/performer, recording artist, multi-instrumentalist, sound designer, recording engineer, producer and sound healer. He taught himself to play the piano at age five, and as a young adult he learned to play the Spanish classical guitar through heart felt inspirations of the legendary, Andres Segovia. Riki has developed his own style, composing music that blends a sonic palette, including Spanish classical guitar, electric guitar, Native American flutes, piano, keyboard synthesizer, djembe drums, and crystal bowls. His inspirational sound paintings are an eclectic fusion of new age music, world beat, a touch of blues and smooth jazz; a music genre he has trademarked, "New World Jazz." He has released four CDs to date, which are internationally distributed, with two new CDs on the way. Riki is an International Award Winner, receiving 1st Runner-up for Best World Album of the Year, presented at the International New Age Trade Show (INATS West) in Denver, June 26, 2004.
